2019: Presented a paper at the International Day of Celtic Art Conference entitled“Ireland, the Cradle of European Enamels”.

2017: Commissioned by the British Museum Company to create pieces to complement their exhibitionThe Scythians

2014: Assisted my father, Tom Crowe, self-publish his memoirs. Edited and designed the book “As the Crowe Flies”

2013: Co-artistic director with Gabrielle Castonguay and David Hustler of “Fire and Fusion”, the first exhibition of Canadian Enamelling in Toronto in 25 years. In conjunction with the Toronto International Jewellery Festival and Metamosaic, the Society of North American Goldsmiths annual conference

2012: Commissioned by the Tiptree Award committee to design and make a piece of enameling to be given to that year’s winner: “The Drowning Girl” by Caitlin Kiernan. Each year the committee commissions a different artist to design the award. The award is given to an author who deals with gender in an interesting and unusual way.

2010: Published sketches illustrating “the uranium sea” in “crisis book: an anthology thing” published by PressPressPress, ed. David Tinmouth, 2010

2008: Presented paper “The Thread of Meaning: A Reflection on Interdisciplinarity” at the “New Media and the Global Diaspora” Plenary Conference at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI

2007-2011: Serving on the Programming Committee for the Metal Arts Guild, hosting workshops in the Take Control of Your Career series:  “Finding Your Niche” and “Border Crossing”, publishing monthly newsletter, serving as Communications officer.

2006: Presented paper “The Provocative Object: The Persistence of Celtic Imagery” at the American Conference of Irish Studies in St Louis Missouri with Laura Travis and Karin Weber

2001-2003: Artistic Director and Committee Chair of the Conference committee producing the 6th Annual Celtic Women International Conference, “Celtic Routes”, at Harbourfront Centre including a Women’s Concert at the Music Hall. Oversaw and co-ordinated Programming, Finance, Membership, Fundraising/Events, Grant Writing/ Editorial and Advisory Committees. Designed and maintained website.

2001-2003: Serving as Director on the Board of Celtic Women International (Vice-President, Conference Committee Chair). Helping establish mission statement, values, vision, policies and strategic plan.

2001: Artistic Director for International Invitational Art Exhibition at the 50th Annual North American Convention of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eirenn. (Sponsored by An Droichead/The Bridge)

2001-1999: artistic co-director of ‘Ceili Naomh Brigid’ (with Daithi Connaughton) fund raising concert, silent Art Auction, raffle and dance for Matthew 25, a charity that raises the children of prostitutes outside of the red-light district near Calcutta, India, and teaches them, and their mothers, other trades.

1998-1999: served as Artistic Director for “Then & Now: A Celtic & Medieval Exposition”, a festival that includes lectures, music and an art exhibition. (Sponsored by An Droichead/The Bridge)

1998: founding member of artist collective An Droichead/The Bridge.

1997: published an article on my experiences exploring my heritage in Canadian Journal of Woman Studies/Les Cahiers de la Femme Vol. 17, No.3

1992: acted as artistic consultant for the Irish Canadian Aid and Cultural Society‘s presentation of “The Spirit of Ireland” a photographic exhibition of the Irish in Canada at City Hall in Toronto.

1991-1993: designed and assisted with construction of floats for the St. Patrick’s Day Parades.

1982: Assisted with writing and performed in multi-cultural production “Reflections in Red” with Pelican Players (Toronto, Ontario). Also participated in design and making of sets.

1982: Assisted Siobhan McCooey and Sorel Etrog in design and construction of costumes and set for the play “Mr. Joyce is Leaving Paris” as part of the James Joyce Centenary sponsored by the Celtic Studies Department, University of Toronto.

1980-1984: Acted in and assisted with design and construction of sets and costumes for several productions with the Toronto Irish Players.

Since 1981 I have been a professional singer of Irish Traditional music and have produced two critically acclaimed independent albums “This Ancient Fabric” and “Dark is the Colour”. I currently sing with the improvising Element Choir (since 2009),and my own duo “The Brothers Karamazov” (since 2015)
